Hi David. Thanks for sharing about your prostate cancer. I'm happy that your PSA is so low. I wish you the best in your journey. I too had a long hormone therapy--18 months. I'm glad that it's over and that I'm recovering my energy. I hope you enjoy the stories, and I encourage you to send comments and suggestions.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Your feelings about "a man my age" resonated, although for me, it is "a woman your age should" blah, blah, blah.... I truly dislike the assumptions. :)

I look forward to reading your next chapter.

Hi Rick, Have enjoyed your first two entries to the Wilds of Cancer. I am so glad you are back writing again and have successfully completed your prostate treatment. Incorporating your journey through not only medical aspects, I appreciate the outdoor experiences too.

Hi Jeanne. While I felt the need to be in nature throughout my treatment, it wasn't until recently that I found research that explained how being in nature helped my body. There will be more on this in upcoming stories.

I was excited to hear that you and Mary had gone through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River! Not many people get to experience that and I was fortunate enough to make three trips through the canyon on the river back in the seventies! Hiked out on the Bright Angel Trail twice and hiked DOWN the trail (ouch!) once to experience the second half of the river. It does my heart good to know you've had that incredible experience!

Thank you for sharing your medical adventure and realized, early on, that you need to advocate for yourself! Love your holistic approach to fighting the battle! Keep on hiking!

Thanks so much for your years of support, Betsy. Who knew that when we met at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch all those years ago we would still be messaging. I'm glad that you love my holistic approach. Much more on that in stories to come. I hope you enjoy the stories, and I encourage you to keep sending comments and suggestions.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. My son in law is in his 50's and had prostate cancer 2 years ago. He opted to have it removed and has regretted making that decision. It's a hard decision but in some cases it's the best decision. Take care and looking forward to your next chapter.

Hi Sandra, and thanks for sharing about your son-in-law. I hope that he's doing well with his prostate cancer even with side effects of the surgery. That sure is a tough decision and I'll share more about that in upcoming chapters. I hope you enjoy the stories, and I encourage you to keep sending comments and suggestions.
