While my new Substack publication, The Wilds of Cancer: A Journey, focuses on my last two years of battling cancer, there’s more to my life than cancer. For the last ten years Mary and I lived in Gardiner, MT, at Yellowstone’s north entrance. We filled that decade doing what we love: hiking, skiing, backpacking, canoeing, and bicycling in and around Yellowstone. And, as many Gardiner residents do, we vacationed in Utah and explored its wild lands. This slideshow focuses on one fall, our favorite time of year in Utah. (To read about some of our adventures, check out the books below.)
I’m sure that our time in nature in Utah and Yellowstone helped me heal over the last two years, and I’ll share more about that in forthcoming chapters from The Wilds of Cancer: A Journey. As a free subscriber you’ll receive one preview chapter each week. I’ll also share slideshows and photos periodically as a way of saying thanks for subscribing.
