Yellowstone in March
A slideshow with music
I’ve heard from readers that my slideshows with images and music bring relief and joy. I’m glad they provide not only a break from the chapters of my cancer journey but also the intensity of the daily news.
This slide show celebrates March in Yellowstone, a time of contrasts. Sometimes it’s still winter, sometimes it’s almost spring. The first March for Mary and me was thirteen years ago. We were finishing up our first winter living and volunteering at Yellowstone’s Lamar Buffalo Ranch. We didn’t know it then but after a couple more winters, we would feel compelled to make the life-changing move from Oregon to Montana. The incredible wildlife and wild lands of March played a big part in that decision.
This short slideshow with music gives you a view into both. I hope you enjoy the show.
I’ll be back next week with another preview chapter of The Wilds of Cancer.

Thank you for sharing the video. Your wanderings with Mary remind me of what's real and unchanging. The natural world is my church. Even when it's fierce, it's real and true. So important to me in these crazy times.
Thank you for such a morning greeting. I miss Yellowstone and have been there several times in winter to enjoy the stunning beauty of the place. The video was much appreciated.
